Not only that, but GraphicConverter 4 has a built-in plug-in engine and a batch processing functionality, allowing an user to convert a folder full of various picture files into a given format and/or automate some editing operations. This was truely an amazing software title back then and even 20 years later, Photoshop still isn't close to supporting that many file formats. GraphicConverter 4, like older revisions, was known for its incredible compatibility. Compression: deflate - Producer: GraphicConverter - Comment: DESCRIPTION. The first download is a CD image containing all GraphicConverter 4.x versions (68K, PPC, Carbonized) in many languages (English, French, German, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Italian, Danish, Spanish, Swedish, Dutch, Norwegian, Russian and Japanese) along with plug-ins and other programs from Lemke Software and third party developers. I also couldn't find any info regarding mipmaps in GraphicConverter.GraphicConverter 4 was the last major GC release for 68K Macs and also the first to be carbonized for OSX. ![]() Is there a solution to make X-Plane able to load this texture again?Įdit: I found under Extended Preferences / Save / File Formats, that I was able to select DDS so that it shows as a 'save as' option, this also allowed me to select which DXT format to choose (1-5) when saving the file - but X-Plane still wouldn't load it. The file is DXT5, RGB+Alpha, 32bit Alpha, compression 1:3. In GraphicConverter 'Save As' has no options for. I haven't changed anything apart from the levels in the section of the image that contains the road - after this I just selected 'save'. But the problem I have now is that v9 wont load the altered texture. From the info found in this thread (thanks!) I am able to do the same in GraphicConverter 6.03 for the. In v8 I was able to do this in Photoshop by changing the levels, this darkened the road surface but kept the line markings light - simple yet effective. I'm trying to complete the task of altering the highway.dds file to change the appearance of the concrete roads to asphalt. This could be a big breakthrough if we can find out how to make it work on our older v8 scenery. But, I am unaware of how to effect this texture change. Here you can see how the DDS texture was superior to the usual PNG. So I am at a loss as to how others have got cutsom objects to use XP9 dds object textures. RESULT: Still not texture on the TREE OBJECTS. I converted tree.obj from a v7 to a v8 and made sure the texture and texture LIT designators were for the tree.dds and tree_LIT.dds so see if XP9 required obj8 file for DDS textures. ![]() Tried the same v8 scenery at KRIL with my trees and all the PLANES were LEFT BLANK. I converted one PNG file and its LIT.png texture to DDS and removed the PNG files from CUSTOM OBJECT TEXTURES. ![]() ![]() I did download the lastest version for Mac v6.02-this DOES CONVERT TO DDS FORMAT. (PLEASE NOT: my CAPITALS are for emphasis for quick easy reading of the IMPORTANT POINTS) -) My version of GraphicConverter was v5.2.2 which DOES NOT have DDS format for a SAVE AS.
